Holistic Wellness Coaching

for Young Female Athletes

I help young female athletes elevate their performance and well-being by reconnecting them to their power—body, mind, and spirit—so they can express their full potential with joy and confidence.

Dr. Ali Ross, PT, DPT specializes in supporting high school and collegiate athletes through holistic wellness coaching. This personalized program nurtures the athlete’s body, mind, and spirit.

Are you looking for:

🌟 Injury prevention and recovery

🌟 Athletic skill development and mastery

🌟 Technique improvement

🌟 Performance optimization - in sport and life

🌟 Embodiment of joy, passion, and purpose

🌟 Cultivation of divine power and sovereignty

This program addresses:

✅ Movement pattern training

✅ Body awareness integration

✅ Health habits education

✅ Mindset development

✅ Soulful alignment and expression

Young female athletes require thoughtful, individualized care. As they grow and develop, their physical and emotional needs differ from their male counterparts and from fully developed women. Supporting them well means recognizing these nuances and approaching their training and development with patience and understanding.

The young female athlete seeks equilibrium within the gray, in a world that rewards black-and-white dichotomies. She shouldn’t settle for anything in life.

She seeks strength yet flexibility.

She seeks power yet elegance.

She seeks control yet grace.

She seeks growth yet confidence.

She fosters grit and builds resilience. She demands precision. She embodies pure presence.

Young lady, are you committed to peak performance, both in sport and life?

This program is a highly intentional, 3-month coaching container designed to support the young athlete who is ready to commit to herself. This isn’t a cookie-cutter program—it’s immersive and personally curated for each athlete. You’ll meet with Ali three times per month for private coaching, and you’ll gain access as an Exclusive Member in the Salta App. Inside the app, you’ll find your Private Coaching Messaging, Community Forums, Wellness Practices and Resources, Mentorship Spotlight, and all the other app core features.

The community forums are a cornerstone of your coaching program. This private, exclusive space is carefully vetted—only young female athletes are admitted. Every thread is heavily moderated by Ali, so you can feel confident that your conversations are safe, positive, and empowering. Here, you’ll connect peer-to-peer: celebrating wins, sharing inspiration, and talking openly about struggles. You’ll also have access to dedicated spaces like the Sports Threads—to share about your training and performance—and the Community Wellness Threads, where all things body, mind, and spirit are open for discussion.

This coaching program is NOT therapy or counseling. Our focus is on your growth, performance, and development as an athlete. What’s Included:

Initial Appointment (1 hour via teleconference)

1. Comprehensive Wellness Questionnaire:

The initial appointment begins with review of your comprehensive health questionnaire. This is designed for you to tell me about yourself and provide me with a detailed overview of your current state of being.

2. Discussion and Setting of Goals:

Based on your health questionnaire and movement screen, we will spend time establishing achievable goals that are important to you. Goals not only serve to motivate you and provide trackable metrics, but they also serve the deeper purpose of understanding your WHYs and aligning with your HOWs.

3. Take Home Interventions and Implementations

We might identify just one issue or several, but we’ll begin simply. I won’t be throwing the kitchen sink at you. Learning to incorporate and embody new habits gradually yet consistently is key to achieving your goals and maintaining longevity.

4. Education on Salta App Resources

At the end of your session, we’ll spend a few minutes going over the Salta App—how to log in, navigate it, and make the most of all its features.

Follow Up Appointments (30-45 mintues via teleconference)

1. Review Progress:

In our follow-up meetings, we’ll check in on the goals you set and see how far you’ve come. We’ll celebrate your wins, talk about what’s working (and what’s tricky), and map out the next steps to keep you crushing your goals. This is your space to reflect, receive feedback, and continue to rise.

2. Movement Screen:

Typically done during our second meeting, this physical movement screen looks at the fundamental movement patterns required for athletes, including mobility, motor control, strength, and balance. This screen allows us to determine where you may be at risk for injury, losing power, or lacking technique or control.

3. Take Home Interventions and Implementations

Based on the progress you’ve made, we’ll choose your next moves and map out what to focus on the coming week—simple, intentional moves that help you more confident and in control of your growth.

4. Review of Salta App Resources

  • Mindset tools for injury recovery

  • Strategies to rebuild confidence after time off

  • Support during return-to-sport transitions

  • Guidance for managing fear of re-injury

  • Emotional processing during performance plateaus

Building Physical, Mental & Emotional Resilience

Resilience training for young female athletes doesn’t mean “pushing through.” It means learning how to:

  • Respond to adversity with strength and flexibility

  • Develop healthy coping strategies

  • Improve emotional regulation under pressure

  • Build communication skills and capacity

  • Balance academics, athletics, and social life

Managing Performance Anxiety

Performance anxiety in female athletes is not often discussed openly. Coaching includes:

  • Tools to manage pre-competition nerves

  • Breathing and grounding strategies

  • Reframing negative self-talk

  • Developing a confident competition mindset

  • Reducing fear of judgment and comparison

Knowing When to Push vs. When to Recover

High-achieving young women often struggle with overtraining and burnout. I teach:

  • How to recognize early signs of physical and emotional fatigue

  • The difference between discomfort and injury

  • Recovery strategies for sustainable performance

  • How to advocate for rest when needed

  • Building a long-term, injury-prevention mindset

Body Image & Self-Worth Support

Body image concerns are common in teenage and collegiate female athletes. Coaching provides:

  • Safe conversations about body changes during adolescence

  • Education on fueling for performance

  • Support navigating sport-specific body pressures

  • Building self-worth beyond appearance

  • Developing a respectful relationship with her body

For Parents of High School and College Girls

Not Knowing What to Say

Parents of teenage female athletes often struggle with:

  • Giving advice without sounding critical

  • What questions to ask her after practice, games, or competitions

  • When to push her for accountability vs. when to provide comfort

  • How to support her health & well-being without your daughter perceiving you as overbearing

Supporting Your Daughter’s College Athlete Transition

When your daughter transitions to college athletics, the parent role shifts. Many parents wonder:

  • Where do I stand now?

  • How much input should I give?

  • How do I support her independence while staying connected?

  • What does healthy support look like from a distance?

Improving Parent–Daughter Communication

Parents often have difficulty knowing how to:

  • Celebrate your daughter’s success in ways that resonate with her

  • Respond to challenges or setbacks constructively

  • Manage your fears and doubts around your daughter’s sports injuries, mental and emotional health, and burnout

  • Become a trusted pillar of support

This coaching program equips your daughter with tools to communicate where she is at, what she’s struggling with, and how she wants to be supported.

The goal is not for you to step back completely, but to maintain connection while respecting her development and autonomy.

For Sports Coaches

You Can’t Do It All — And You Shouldn’t Have To

Sports coaches have many obligations and athletes to support. Limited time makes it difficult for you to:

  • Provide individualized mindset coaching

  • Navigate athletes’ body image or health concerns

  • Support athletes during injury recovery

  • Manage emotional challenges outside of sport

Conversations Athletes Don’t Always Have With Coaches

Some topics young female athletes are hesitant to bring to their coach, including:

  • Managing expectations and desires

  • Fear of failure or disappointing others

  • Body image pressures

  • Pain, overtraining, or burnout

  • Mental health and emotional challenges

Preventing Burnout & Strengthening Team Resilience

Preventing burnout in young athletes is critical for long-term performance and retention. Personalized wellness coaching helps your athletes:

  • Understand when to push and when to recover

  • Develop emotional regulation skills

  • Build focus and resilience through setbacks

Referring Your Athletes to Individualized Wellness Coaching

When young women feel supported, their performance improves, both individually and within the team. Referring your girls to wellness coaching allows you to:

  • Protect team culture

  • Improve confidence and communication

  • Strengthen athlete performance and satisfaction

This is not about replacing the coach–athlete relationship. This wellness coaching program serves as an extension of your leadership, helping support your girls in ways that strengthen your team as a whole.
